Trying to get my bracelet back on

Had my speedy pro for about two years now and always had it on nato strap since day one. Just today I thought i would like to maybe try the steel bracelet.
I am really struggling to get the bracelet on the pin bars wont push down far enough for me to get it in, seen on YouTube a guy had these tweezers like things looks super easy with that tool but i only have the tool that comes with the omega.
Is there a certain way of doing this or am i just better ordering the tweezers?

I would personally get the tweezers as using just the tool requires some pressure when you are holding down the end-links to get the spring bar pushed in. I recommend the Bergeron 7825, a must if you swap between straps and bracelets regularly.

PS. Put some tape on the lugs, helps reduce scratches from the tool or bar.

Read my thread on this same issue.

Quick answer:

Straps use longer spring bars than bracelet. You need the shorter spring bars

This! It is quite frustrating, but once you have spring bars that are correct for the bracelet, it'll pop right back on as expected.

Thanks i found my slightly smaller spring bars in the box so now have bracelet on. Now i cant get the links off lol this has got to be the worst bracelet ive ever seen, its horrendously bad design. Ive took the screws out but now i cant push the bar out, trying a earring thats the smallest thing i have.

When sizing bracelets, I find it helpful to warm the links that need to be disassembled by soaking them in a small bowl of very hot water for a minute or two before I begin disassembly. I use water that is at or near boiling temp, soak for about a minute, and that usually loosens up any parts that may have been sticky.

Is this the one you bought preowned?

If so, the other owner may have used high strength loctite.

That will take serious heat - I use a heat gun when I’ve encountered balky screw due to bad use of loctite by someone.

I had mine resized at the AD and she had a really hard time with it. Same deal with getting the posts out. Said getting the screws back on took forever. Sometimes it's best to let the AD handle it. Bad thing for me is I still need another link taken out

The Omega bracelet has always had a reputation of being hard to size correctly and get comfortable.

You said screws earlier - does the bracelet have screws or pins?

OK - i misunderstood and thought the screws were the problem.

So if you look on the underside of the links, do you see a small arrow looking like this > engraved on each removable link?

If so then they are directional.

I’ve had problems with Omega bracelet pins myself. A jig with a pin press makes it easier and less likely to break a tool’s tip.

Good luck!

I got them out eventually had to put a pin in and force it against a table to force it out. To make things worse i think I actually prefer the nato strap lol but after all that im giving the bracelet a few days before i swap back.

That’s where a simple bracelet jig might help in the future.

I need to order some replacement blades now for the 1.6m Bergeon screwdriver. I am seeing two options hardened stainless steel or just steel. What would be better for watches ?

So had the watch on bracelet this morning and thought it was ever so slightly tight and seen at the clasp it can be extended. So took the pin out and for the life of me couldn’t get it in the new hole. So tried just the pin off the bracelet and yes it doesn’t pop in so im guessing the holes are slightly too tight and the bracelet has never been finished correct. I can get it back in and out the original holes so its not me.
I am absolutely disgusted with this bracelet i know it’s hardly a high end watch but still expected bettr quality for sure.
