Submariner 14060 Bezel Insert

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a 14060 (see pic 1), which is in overall great condition.

It's an S serial from 1994 with tritium hour markers and hands, which I think look great.

However, I noticed that the bezel pearl still glows.

I've been looking for a tritium bezel insert replacement and have found one (see pic 2).

I'm aware that there are many aftermarket bezel inserts out there and I'd like to stick to an authentic Rolex bezel.

Can anyone offer an opinion? Does it look real?

By the way, the seller claims that the pearl no longer glows.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Anyone?

To clarify, the bezel on the watch I'm wearing has the luminova pearl.

The top picture is the bezel I'm trying to verify the authenticity of.

The pearl doesn't look right = fake/aftermarket. Personally, I would leave your watch alone. The hands and dial still look pretty white so it's not like the existing luminova pearl sticks out like it would with yellowish lume.

Is it really important to you that you have a tritium insert rather than the perfectly acceptable Luminova insert.

I was aiming for all components to be of the same period, i.e. tritium.

But I take you point that even if the pearl was genuine it wouldn't colour match. The only time it's noticeable is in low light when the pearl glows, but I guess that's ok.

Thanks guys, sometimes it's good to get an experienced second opinion.

I'm still really pleased to have found one with matching dial and hands.
