rolex 5512 or 5513?

Hi,
can someone tell me if it' s true that some old submarine 5512 have printed in the case back the ref. 5513?

Yes, some do. It doesn't affect the value at all, apparently. These were at times interchanged at the factory.

So can i buy , for instance , a submarine 5513 cal.1560 or 1570 ?
usually only 5512 have these cal. when , on the contrary 5513 should have cal. 1520 or 1530.
what do you think?

No, if it has a cal. 1560 or 1570, then it is not a 5513. When in doubt check the case reference number between the lugs at 12:00. The ref. number on the inner case back is not always reliable when it comes to these no-date Subs. Most of the 5512 dials also state the chronometer rating (all but the very earliest of these).

Hi,adams,
i do understand what you mean, but in accordance to what you told me before if i find a rolex submarine cal. 1560 from '68 but in the case back is stamped 5513, that means that i 've found a 5512 from'68 cal.1560, doesn't it?
