Glad to hear I'm not alone! I've always thought that the Rolex Sub was exactly like a Porsche 911, same design for decades, each change an evolutionary step forward. There aren't many products like this anymore, tradition falling sacrifice to trends and fads. I've found a comfort in knowing this model won't suddenly be abandoned for one which communicates with my iPhone. To those who are new to the brand I must say I've been where you are. These 12hrs of ownership have changed my life and my perspective... I'll never be the same again...
😉 lol I'm just playin'. Felt like being dramatic. Honestly though I'm loving my new timepiece!! And to all who've responded, thanks so much! I'm honored to be in the club! Speaking of "club", where are the meetings held?

Well it's been almost a week now. I must admit that wearing such a valuable thing on my wrist makes me VERY nervous. I actually have found myself hiding it. For whatever reason, I just never imagined spending over 7k on a timepiece. Don't get me wrong, it's a spectacular piece of hardware. I suppose I'll just need time to grow into it... time which I can measure with my 7k timepiece

I know exactly where you're coming from, the dangerous part is that once you get used to this one you'll be planning for your second one, and it goes from there!

Perfectly normal but you will forget its even on your wrist after a while, so in the mean time try not to behave suspiciously like you have an expensive watch on your wrist, be cool.

GoldWatchCo

They gave me the best deal along with free overnight shipping. Polite and professional. It was a very quick painless transaction and the watch is as promised so I can't complain.

Glad to hear my reaction is normal. Try to act cool huh? I haven't been around people while wearing it yet, but I'm already thinking about what to say when inevitably somebody will say "is that real?"

Wear an Armani suit for the first three months solid and you won't get this question.

"The 12 Week Armani Suite Manipulation Methodology" is a good idea.... for those with Armani suits anyways.
I'm very disappointed by what appears to be an involuntary biological reaction to the watch. I wanted a new ceramic submariner and then I satisfied that itch. Instead of my psyche being thankful it's becoming greedy and kind of a bitch, inflicting dreams into my slumber, dreams of a black hole opening not too far away and the magnetic waves causing mayhem, if only there was a greenish watch, impervious to magnetic fields... At least up to a Gs... I see people screaming out of the dark, "anybody?!? Anybody here me?!!? WHAT TIME IS IT?!? For the love of god somebody must have a watch working under these conditions?!?!" I cry, wishing if only I'd has such a watch...

There is such a watch. The Milgauss. See it's started already. It's a very slippery slope.

Congrats on a beautiful watch. Enjoy it and have fun. Now go put that thing in the water and take some more pictures.

Relax and enjoy. You made a conservative, appropriate choice. You paid a reasonable price and then had it validated at an AD. You have done it all right. That Sub will still be cool and in demand 50 yrs from now.

The butterflies will go away and you get over the new hump feeling.

I know the feeling. I almost had a heart attack after I bought mine but then I realized that the happiness I got from wearing it outweighed the cost. You will enjoy it!
