Decisions to make
Looking to take the plunge a new watch. I'm a bit all over the place. Leaving towards an explorer ii white face or a sub c. Also thinking about a Pam. I have been needing a brown watch in my stable. About to head to my local AD but torn if I should purchase brand new from AD for the current finance promo or hop on a lightly used model. In Central FL .... Thoughts????

I've bought from both...AD and two of the trusted sellers here in the forums and have always had great dealings with both. The only reason I would buy from an AD nowadays is if I wanted to try on the watch first and couldn't wait, or perhaps the particular variant I was interested in was hard to find used...I'm going back to the AD lately since I'm interested in developing a relationship with the local AD's service department since I've got quite a few pieces that are due for servicing. Either way, you really can't go wrong :)

Explorer II or Sub C, they both good choice....

Sub-C then Explorer II. Although I went to the AD yesterday to check out PAM's and boy did it fit perfectly. It took a lot of courage to walk away. Good luck with your quest. I suggest go to an AD check out what calls your name then ask the trusted TRF sellers in FL if they can source one for you.

I think what you really need to decide is which one you want first because we all know that you will own both the Sub C and Exp II at some stage haha.
I went ExpII White Dial for my first. Love it so much and have no regrets |

I currently wear a coke gmt. I have a lot of black watches which is why I was trying to stay away from the sub c right now but I love it every time I see one. However I have a super ocean that scratched the itch. I was looking at a Pam tobacco dial and brown band either a 590 or 61 however price point puts them at rolex without the same trade/resale value (that seems to be changing but worried its a fad). Leaning heavily towards the explorer ii right now. The wife is all over getting new vs pre-owned

If you already have a watch with a GMT function, I'd opt for the Sub over the Explorer II. To get recommendations for the Panerai, you'll have to leave the Rolex forum and visit the Panerai forum, although many here have both.
