Does Anyone Else Dislike Polished Center Links?

Personally, I think they're too flamboyant. I really like the upgrades Rolex made to there watches (bracelets, ceramics, etc.), but I think they've added a little too much polishing to their SS models. I wish they kept the polishing exclusively to precious metal models.

The only models that don't have polished center links now are their dive watches and the Explorers, but what I want is a GMT...just too shiny.

Up until about 3 months ago, I would have completely agreed with you. However, after having a SS Daytona and the BNLR, I've begun to like the PCL's.

Easy to brush the PCL's, but few have the guts to do it after paying thousands for the watch. "Oh, it's just not worth it." Also more difficult to reverse in the event of a change-of-mind...
I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I just accept the way they came from the factory. BCL vs. PCL wouldn't keep me from buying the watch I liked.

I love PCLs!

But you can get a gmt and have the lbs brushed. Several on here have done this.

It depends on the watch. I'm glad my Explorer has BCL, but I also think PCLs look good on a DJ.

I know some people who have done this, but I agree you have to have guts to alter a perfectly good Rolex.

+1 somehow I prefer brushed centered links. But if I have to choose to wear a Rolex with polished centered links, it would be a YM.

Have often voiced my dislike of PCLs on this forum but now I have a GMTIIc. I have grown to like (not love) them. The day might come when I decide to have them brushed....just not sure yet. One thing I have decided is that I will not be a slave to scratches and what will be....will be.

I had a strong dislike for PCLs. Then I bought my Turn O Graph and I think they are great.

I would rather the new GMT didn't have them, but it would not keep me from buying it now.

Having a Sub C and a BLNR I really like both ways. Both/And vs Either/Or.

I don't like the PCL on a casual or sport model.. It doesn't bother me at all to have mine brushed..

PCL on dress, BCL on sport for me. The former on the latter, just doesn't makes sense to me.

I used to avoid them at all costs but they have grown on me somewhat after having a BLNR and a Daytona.
