What is the quintessential configuration of the DDII?

Speaking about the YG, because when you think DDII you think Yellow Gold.

Which dial option is the go-to, most iconic, absolutely most popular?

I say it's between the White Dial w/ Roman and the Champagne Dial w/ Roman.

Thoughts?

I love the chocolate dial with Roman numerals. If I was to get one it would be that!

On the website, if you choose gold (Y/G/W) your choice of dial is the color with Roman indexes only. I think the II is too new to have a quintessential example.
If we were discussing the original 36mm, I would agree the champagne stick dial is the quintessential DD. For DDII, my preference would be white.

I too love this configuration, especially in WG DDII, but I do not believe it is offered in the YG DDII.

This is hard. To me the iconic DJ is the 36mm in champagne or tapestry. The 41mm doesn't have enough life experiance for me to judge what it's signature configuration is.

Nope only rose gold but that's what I'd have chosen if I had to get a DDII if probably choose champagne with the yellow gold!

I would agree that the white romans or champagne romans are probably the most popular on this forum. A lot of people like them whenever the subject comes up...and for good reason...they're awesome.

If you have any doubt, Dr. JBA and Otto can sure provide some luscious photos.

Considering the entire watch buying community, I have no idea and for sure Rolex does not release any data to support one over the other...so that leads me to Seth's point...it's what you like that matters most.

P.S. I like the silver dial.

Wondering what the most popular configuration is because I'm tangled between the White and Champagne Dial, Sticks or Romans.

If I do settle on one I want it to be the iconic example of the watch as I cant choose between the 4 options.

Let me simply say although a beauty the two "I"s on either side of the day window tweak my common sense. The left hand side should have an XI. The Arabic dial on the other hand makes more sense with a truncated 11 and a 1 on either side of the window.
