Tudor 1961 pcg 7928

Hi guys
I finally bit the bullet and decided to do something about the messy lume job that had been done a long time ago on the hands of my Tudor 7928. (bottom photo) I removed them and rubbed them back and am quite pleased with the outcome, appart from the holes, anyway, better than they were I think, but not quite the colour they should be, perhaps they will mellow a bit in time. This was my second option, the first was to buy some good originals which I just could not afford, perhaps in a few years I might, but for the time being they will do.

Big improvement. That was a crappy lume job. Looks like it was applied with a roller.

Another option is to properly relume the hands. There are watchmakers right here on the forum that can do a very professional job.

Hi Steve, thanks for the offer, very kind. I could be over your way next year (Florida ?) so maybe catch up with you and do something then, but they really dont worry me that much any more, now that I have tidied them up a bit.
