Let’s talk about jewelry!

Show us your jewelry, that IS NOT a WATCH.

Male or female, chains, bracelets, rings, earrings, and everything in between!

Did you buy it, inherit it, was it a gift?

What does it represent to you?

Do you wear it daily? Special occasions?

Basically, let’s talk jewelry!

I’ve always liked jewelry, since I was a kid.

I remember always buying rings for 50 cents at little machines in grocery stores.

My mom is who would give me the 50 cents, maybe once every 3-4 weeks.

The rings, being super cheap, would break easily.

One day when I asked mom for 50 cents again, she said “if you refrain from buying today, and save the 50 cents, then do it again, and again, eventually you can buy a nicer ring, one that you can keep forever, because it’ll be made to last”

This ring above is THAT ring. I bought it when I was maybe 13 years old?

Silver ring.

I am now 29 and still have it. A beautiful thing.

Most importantly, mom taught me how to save, and how to delay gratification, and I even received a nice ring at the end of the lesson.

Love you Mom :)

I like bracelets, have several leather ones, and really like these gold ones from Cartier.

Very nice, I remember seeing this picture in other threads

Do you have any experience with Tiffany and Co? I want to order a silver curb link bracelet from them, but would have to do it online, and don’t know what quality to expect. I know they are popular, but I’m just curious.

Thank you. I have this leather and silver bracelet, which I wore for years. Haven’t worn it lately, but the silver does tarnish. I prefer gold.

Can you post a photo of the one you’re referring to?

That is nice. I don’t mind it tarnishing. The one pictured above is the one I’m interested in.

I bought a silver curb link bracelet from Ben Bridge but returned it because some links were crooked. They ordered another one for me, and it was worse than the first one.

I am have heard that Tiffany is popular and very well known, so I wonder what quality one can expect.

I’ve looked for reviews for this specific bracelet and haven’t found any. I guess jewelry isn’t like watches where you find YouTube videos and articles discussing them. Haha

I have a Tiff and Co curb link bracelet. Very good quality and it does tarnish like all silver (much more if you don’t wear it regularly, which I don’t). Great quality though and Tiffany offers free cleaning :)

I would expect that Tiffany would have very good quality, though I’m no expert. Many a Patek dial doesn’t carry their stamp, after all.

A "gentleman" should wear a fine Swiss watch, a wedding band if married and a class ring only if he attended a Service Academy. Period. Full stop!

Is it me, or does the term “gentleman” not mean what it used to? Every time I hear it it makes me think of some neckbeard wearing a fedora.

It thus means everyone has their ideology of who a gentleman is and what he should be like.

Gentlemen should be clean shaven as well... You are thinking about liberal college professors or models in beer commercials...

For those who did not get it from their parents or want to make sure the young men in their lives get the right guidance...perfect graduation gifts from HS; https://www.brooksbrothers.com/mens/...efault,sc.html

I've got 2 Tiff & Co bracelets. One being the dual-wrap leather one pictured earlier as a "similar product" and a stainless/ sterling elastic bracelet. The former is only a few months old, the latter is 10yrs old. I love the look of tarnished, worn silver. I've given and received a lot of T & C and it's never disappointed.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I’m going to join the waiting list here in a minute.

Now my only concern is that I saw a thread on this forum talking about how delivery services aren’t requiring signatures right now :(

Yes I wear a lot of heavy Y/G Jewellery,
ID Bracelet, heavy Chain & two heavy Rings. All were purchased way back in the mid 1990’s. I wear it on a daily basis. It was fairly expensive then but I reckon it would be much more expensive now, though you don’t see a lot of this type of Jewellery in Jewellers shops now, but back then it was very much in fashion
