Savannah - pt. 2

We stayed at the Alida in the Plant Riverside District. When my wife and I last visited Savannah about a year ago, all of this area was under construction; needless to say, we came away impressed. Between Charleston, Savannah and St. Augustine, you just cannot go wrong with visiting any of these great southern cities.

Also, it might look like a ghost town, but it's not - I tend to wake up early and take sunrise pictures when the city's still asleep. Saturday was filled with the dinner crowd.

River Street on St Paddy's Day....priceless

Maybe one day the Rangers will again march in the parade and have your wife give them a kiss....

Great photos again! Thanks for sharing

Did you eat at the old pink house? We ate there during my last visit a couple years back and I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend

Sure did - the pic of my wife near the fireplace (green room) is directly off to the right once you enter the house.

That isn’t the Pirate House is it? I remember going there as a kid- my parents hated the place but would humor me on occasion. Pink House has been a solid spot for decades.

Indeed it is - my kids loved it, as did my parents.

Cheers!

We ate in the opposite room if I recall correctly. To the left upon entering the front door.

I feel for everyone out there that can't even go outside for food / a drink, let alone suffering from the virus itself. Let's hope the world gets back to normal sooner rather than later.

Next time either of y'all visit the Pink House, you need to make your way to the basement for drinks. It is an old cellar that was converted to a bar. To enter, you have to go outside and walk down some of those old fashioned cellar stairs that used to be on the exterior of all old houses.

Nice pics, very nice family, congrats.

I've spent many a weekend night at the Riverwalk in Savannah - I used to spend a lot of time at Roebling Road (a racetrack outside of Savannah). Charleston is one of my favorite cities, although I never bring a camera with me. Don't want to look like a tourist, LOL.

I need to get in the habit of taking it with me more often.

Thank you!

To the part in bold - that's why I carry the x100v, which is as cool as it can get and looks like this, and not that! (pics below borrowed from the internet)

LOL I had one of those, for the same reason! It took great pictures, but the UI is so different from my Nikon that i could never remember how to do stuff with it, so I eventually sold it.

I kept the Nikon because I shot semi-pro and needed the pixels and lens flexibility for publishing.
