vintage GMT Master 16753 opinions

i posted this in general discussions but it may be more suitable here in vintage....Ok as I’m trying to diversify my collection to more collectables I’ve had an offer of trading my full set 16610 sub (2001 pinhole) for a 1982 gmt master two tone on jubilee (watch only)
I know the 5 digits go up and down in price but are all about the same.... researching these gmt‘s and the prices are all over the place ... it’s a non-nipple dial but still tritium original... bracelet is mint with almost no stretch and the plexi is unscratched
Now I know we don’t value watches here but I’m looking for advice on these older TT gmt’s as I cannot find anything consistent

Your question is kinda ambiguous...

I’d go for the swap on the grounds the 16753 is older and was made in smaller numbers than the 16610... especially if you’re partial to the TT aesthetic and gilt dials.

Can’t speak to this particular example but for me, a 16610 FS for a 16753 WO is a Yes...

reason i ask is i know TT are not as popular compared to SS and the same goes for the jubilee bracelet.... i am partial to both tt and jubilee but i dont want to do the trade and do my money in the process...

if im loosing out on this deal ill just wait and buy a GMT tt later... but im looking for opinions as to apples to apples value between them.....

and of the opinions of experienced vintage guys weather they think this particular model will stay at its value or increase or decrease. Im not out to make money but i sure dont want to loose any either lol

Check your serial number and post a partial of it here. 1982 is well within the "nipple dial" area. The 16753 dial in your photos is later than 1982. It's not uncommon to find an older watch with a swapped-out dial.

Apparently it’s a 7 million serial starting with 724

Thank you for that... I’ve since questioned him and he accidentally neglected to mention the dial was changed by RSC years ago due to the original getting “spoiled”
I think I shall let this one go

They are beautiful and have a market but aren't as desirable to the masses as a Submariner in steel. Correctly bought they make a good edition but I wouldn't trade a 16610 for it.

I think that trade is out there somewhere, with the right 16753. This is not the one to make with a swapped dial.

You can’t miss the print ads for Tudor BB S&G - they’re EVERYWHERE. A lot of money being spent trying to make TT hot again.
