Advice on tudor prince oyster dates...

Greetings everyone,

Lately i've been finding myself hankering for a vintage Tudor of some sort. Some days its a tudor sub and some days prince oyster dates. They seem to be more available in the asia markets specifically hong kong and japan dealers on ebay have the choice pieces. I am in America and thus unable to examine these by hand. Ebay does provide some protection but how do forum members feel about going to international ebay watch dealers.

thanks everyone for advice and comments.

I've bought multiple Tudors from international sellers, including dtwatches (Dickson) on this forum. As you've noticed, the selection is way better in places like Hong Kong. Buy from a reputable seller and you'll be fine.

If there is one you are interested in, post it here and we will evaluate it for you before you buy.

thank you, I am very grateful for all the assistance I can get. They say a lot of fakes out there especially with tudor subs but hoping its not as bad with the date or day date models.

The Tudor jumbos are an excellent "modern sized" wearable watch.

I seem to be running into a lot of the 34mm or midsizes currently, I also think the ones that say 36 are not truly like the rolex datejusts. Looks like jumbo is the prize, thanks

A jumbo Tudor should be 38mm, and the TOG version 39mm.

This thread may provide some jumbo model information.

Tudor quit selling in the US for quite some years, only recently with Bkack Bay era they restarted right? - sorry, I'm not in USA.

Happy to assist, especially if it's antipodean.

As Adam has pointed out prior, Tudor is actually still selling the Date+Day in 36mm (and the Date in 34mm) at ADs in Hong Kong. I can’t think of a current Rolex/Tudor watch that’s more like stepping into the past to buy a brand new watch 40+ years ago. I love mine.

Tudor 76200 with Tudor 7836 bracelet:
