Red 1680

Hey Guys! I'm a novice at vintage Rolexes and I'm currently on the hunt for a vintage red 1680 Sub. Any advice to look out for along the way during the search? Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Learn the different models is a start on the Drsd site is a good source ,that way you at least know what your looking at & can get an idea if there worth & condition, that’s what i did & ask the guys around here ? They can be very helpful .

I would recommend sourcing from well-known vintage dealers. HQ Milton, Shear Time, Lunar Oyster, etc. It makes life a lot easier in the hunt.

Homework, homework and more homework. There are so many resources and so many photos available online, there's really no excuse not to spend countless hours poring over all the information. Oh, and only buy from a very trusted seller/dealer.
