Gaps between lags and bracelet end links

Hi there,

Noob is here, so bare with me please. There are apparent gaps between watch lugs and jubilee bracelet end links. Is that suppose to be so with jubilee? I’d appreciate if somebody could comment on this matter please. Thank you.
