Other Panerai for me I'd like would be the 690, that blue dial.....

My 422 and 510
The 127 is tops in my books as well.

I figured I'd oblige with a shot of my 690. Its not everyone's cup of tea, but I fell in love the moment I laid eyes on it.

Any with a sandwich dial… that’s a key to me with Panerai.

I'd suggest you add a 44mm Bettarini case to complete the trio...

Perhaps a 390 with the beautiful tobacco dial?

If you could only get one, would it be the 372, the 127 or the 690?

Pam532

I have a 47mm pam532. Naked. Only 500 made. Thoughts on this? Think it is a keeper? Thinking about letting it go.

This is such a great read. I am looking to add my first Panerai to my small collection. I am constantly finding more and more PAM's # that I like.

I have narrowed down the key "features" I want, but still perplexed on narrowing down the Ref. PAM and other features offered.
The 47 will be too big for me, so only 40-44mm will do. I am having a difficult time deciphering the "round" vs "flat" bezel. The all look similar to me.

I only want a 1950 style, rounded glass, sandwich black dial with the crown guard. So, the Luminor series is the one. I don't mind the second sub and date on the sandwich dial. So, the Marina is also the one. The solid or the exhibition case-back is fine, but like the ex better. I do not know what the difference will be (good or bad) the automatic vs manual wind.
See what's happening ?

I guess I have narrowed it down to only 30-40 models now. I've lost count.

The 127 would be my choice between those three.

If you could not do a 47mm, what is your smaller PAM choice?

Welp, as others have commented, for me it would be the 127 and the 690, as I just moved on my 422 and 510 for another Rolex piece coming in hopefully next week or beginning of the week after.

While an older 510 with a Sandwich dial would also be on my books, the age old, "get the watch you want, don't settle", rang true for me regarding Panerai.

It's a great brand, but if I'm in, it will be 127 and the 690 with an option for a Q or R series Panerai 510 lol.

There's a few others I like as well, some of the base models are quite nice, TRF member michaelodonnell123's Panerai 112 is also a classic imo.

Absolutely agree. A taste of the past in a 217. A 212 for a chrono, a 799 for an awesome diver and a 317 for a ceramic.
