What's everyone think about the Chronomat GMT 40s?

I like what I see so far. The colors look amazing. Size is good. Digging the integrated look of the bracelet. My only complaint is that it's not a true GMT, so no jumping hour hand. What are your thoughts?

I’m a sucker for GMT watches and after trying on the 42mm chronomat loved the feel of the rouleaux bracelet but didn’t pull the trigger as I am not the biggest fan of chronographs, this gives an option in nice sizing for many people.

Nice looking and a great size, but WAY too much money for what is effectively an off the shelf Sellita/ETA.

IMO it's honestly twice as expensive as it should be.

It's a nice watch, but sort of a shame it isn't a true GMT with the jumping hour hand. I also agree with the post before this regarding the list price, especially with the aforementioned considered.

However, if the watch makes you happy then don't hold back. It's fine if you're certain it'll kept for life, basically.

I like the watches in the various colors but there is not enough to set them apart from other offerings inside the Breitling brand or competitors for me to make a purchase.

Excellent points all around. The ETA movement and the lack of a "true GMT" function are disappointing. But man it is sharp looking. The green and blue dials are stunning!

It would be great for about 5K. Breitling has gotten a bit proud of themselves with their current pricing. Too many better options at this price range IMHO

I like it. Should be a winner for them.

Clearly a better price point than the in-house Chronomat. I wish they introduce some strap options (rubber and leather) for stock models in this line. I have never been a bit fan of the Rouleaux Bracelet.

Cool watches. I like the design a lot.

It’s not priced for us watch freaks, it’s priced for people who have no idea what a “true” GMT is, and don’t know a Sellita movement from an in-house movement. I think a lot of people know the Breitling brand and will pay to get one on their wrist.

For us who love Breitling and are watch freaks, we just need to wait until they start popping up on the secondary market at a more palatable price.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm not willing to pay what Breitling is asking, but if/when these start showing up used at 30%+ off MSRP I will definitely consider grabbing one.

Sharpe looking watch. No jumping hour hand. Wow. How do you set it?

Honestly the contestant ads I am seeing on Facebook for the watch has turned me off of considering it.

I dig it, really like it. But overpriced for what it is, I’ll wait for secondary market.

there a variety of dial colors and strap options with this one but think the OP nailed the best of both!

Agreed the green dial is a nice looking watch. Had the chance to try it on a couple days ago. But the lack true GMT function and its Sellita movement is a bummer.
