I’d wear it once and it might look cool in the box, but just don’t see myself wearing it (probably within the context of my greater collection).

But that’s solely my opinion!
I feel the same way but then again I try to keep my collection in single digits.

Am hoping they're able to fine-tune things a bit for the next batch. Sometimes being 'first out of the gate' with some new releases means you're also kinda a beta tester of sorts. Rest assured i'll post marcos of the purple dial version when it arrives here.

Totally understand. Saw the blue when it was posted on their website and could have gotten it, but OMG have soooo many blue dial timepieces do i really need another???? Nope. It's a personal preference of course, and for me a purple dial is hot hot hot :).

10000000% cool. Know thyself.

Hahaha... what do you think this is... Czapek? I highly doubt that there will be "fine-tuning".

Thank you, Russell; that does actually say a lot about this piece.

I was going to ask which color would have won you over :) But again, your point is well taken. Sometimes I catch myself admiring pieces in the watch box as opposed to on my wrist, which is inappropriate (for me)…so I’ve been trying to be extra thoughtful about each purchase. Still, the narrative I imagine in my mind doesn’t always play out in reality.

All good.

Btw a lot of brands have subtle updates over time. FPJ, Rolex, PP, Bvlgari.... and many more, they just don't always announce it. Yes Czapek is like watching an evolving artist with bracelet and other improvements upward....

(Whispered) ...and that's much better than what Panerai is doing.

How long before you received it after you ordered it. I'm not certain when to expect mine.

Not sure if they are going in sequence, I’m number 104, ordered on the day of release (first hour I think) and delivered on December 23rd.

That means we should have delivery dates available for those who preordered one of the 4 new colours? I remember reading/hearing somewhere that CW will send delivery dates before these go up for sale..

You should have. CW sent an email to pre-order for those that registered interest back on Dec 20 2022. Check your SPAM folder - mine was there.

The link to pre-order has been now closed and mentions sold out. I guess now so close to regular launch, CW may just wait to push out to the public.

See my post above, again, ordering reopens on 19 January at 4:00PM GMT time per received email.

FWIW, I found the following reviews pretty interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9RwelExeQk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxbjQ7bS0yw

Also as far as notifications are concerned; their email from my order says the following:

Quote:
Congratulations!

By placing a deposit you have successfully
secured your Bel Canto.

We will be scheduling the build of your watch in the next few weeks and
will be in touch towards the end of January with the estimated delivery date.

We will be keeping you informed during the manufacturing
process so you can keep track of your Bel Canto’s progress.
And, of course, we’ll contact you when it’s ready to ship.

Only at this point will you need to pay the balance owed.
You will also be able to add any further strap option.

Finally, I would like to thank you for placing an order for your own,
built-to-order, Bel Canto. It’s an exceptional timepiece that has
captured the imagination of the entire watch world and we feel
privileged to be making one for you.

Best wishes,

I have preordered. But during the process it was stated somewhere that before these new models go up for sale for everyone, those who preorder should have an estimated delivery.

edit, found it. Its in the email they sent:

Dang, mine is October and got the salmon dial on leather. I really debated the purple but already have my beautiful Code1159 Purple. Really excited about this watch.

By the way, anyone check the Chopard Strike One? This watch is epic. I would love to put these two watches side by side and listen carefully to the tones and resonance.

My message said October as well. Mine is the light blue (cielo) one like below but on the Ti bracelet.

Quote:
Dear

Thank you for your recent Cielo Bel Canto order (#########) and deposit. I am now pleased to confirm your watch will be delivered to you in October.

The manufacturing process of your Bel Canto will commence in July with assembly, QC and final regulation happening in September.

We will work hard to improve this date but as the Bel Canto is a watch of complexity and finesse, our priority, as you would expect, will always be quality of execution rather than speed.

Again, thank you for ordering a Bel Canto, a watch that Andrew Morgan of Watchfinder & Co called ‘A masterpiece’. I promise your own piece of watchmaking history will be well worth the wait.

Best wishes,

Mike France
CEO & Co-founder, Christopher Ward

A number of weeks back there was an email that went out asking for whomever is interested in a Bel Canto to register their interest. Those that did subsequently received an email allowing them to place their orders ahead of the general release, which is coming up.
