New 40mm Radiomirs to be released this year

I have seen the new 40mm Radiomirs that will be released this year (likely at watches & wonders.
One will be blue, one black and one white (similar to the laminar quaranta). Unfortunately the will have a sunburst like dial and gold hands. So look kind of like a hybrid with the luminor due. Onion Crown.
Solid caseback of course and I cannot remember the water resistance.

the newer Dues are shipping with 50m WR; the previous 1940 radiomirs had 100m WR. so it'll be interesting to see if the new radiomirs you speak of come in at 50m or 100m..

I'm of course of the opinion that 100m should be the standard, particularly given the pricepoint and Panerai's theme. but it's a company full of surprises, so who knows.

I think it's not so much engineering / manf cost that drives their decisions on the WR, but more how to differentiate the model lineup without too much cannibalization, given the more recent trends in smaller / slimmer watches

Hi there are you speaking of wirelug models? If not, still, would you know whether further wirelug models are also released this year?

Thanks
Christian

The date wheel/date color of those models at times is odd. I prefer no-date versions anyway. The case is also on the shiny side. I am still looking to buy my first Panerai and only like the wirelug Radiomirs. The 1334 and 1335 are quite nice. A green version would work as well.

Agreed, the 1334 and 1335 from this past year are really impressive, and sized very nicely. I’m a little surprised I didn’t see more excitement and posts about these. I guess people prefer the traditional 47mm, or the smaller wearable versions.

are they all in 40mm? 40mm wire lugs radiomir would wear like 38 mm luminor, too small for me. and they don't look much different from current radiomir, kind of boring.

I have my doubts about 40mm, it will be 42-45mm range.

I think they look sharp. I prefer the blue and black as a Submersible Bianco owner.

it's not fair to compare them. panerai is now a fashion brand while rolex specialize in timeless design.

Lol wut ? Luminor and Radiormir are just as timeless and they haven’t really changed the designs since inception

I wish they hadn't put gold hands on them. Really removes the military tool watch vibe.

Panerai has used gold hands on many models in the past, the 390 eg.. Super Panerai and definitely has military vibes. Was recently contemplating one. Boutique edition from about a decade ago.
