Hublot Classic Fusion. What do you guys think?

I am really tempted to get this beauty.
I know there is some hate on Hublot, not quite sure why, but this is a stunner.
The brand is known to have good finishing, and the movements are not questionable.
Though I agree they have same really ridiculous looking watches, I think this one is a winner.

Before we compare this with the AP, I feel it is a different look, not to mention less than half the price at $5000 comparing to the general Royal Oaks.

What do you guys think?

That's a nice looking watch. Would look nicer on a bracelet though.

Probably the best looking Hublot I've seen.

But still not for me. There are a lot of watches in the $5k range...I wouldn't put my own money towards a Hublot.

I love the dial color and shape of this watch.
Nice size as well.
Considering it. I agree there are other watches around that range, but non that look like this type.

Nice looking watch but to buy it new you must get 30% off at least. Otherwise, Hublot is a real winner on pre-owned.

Agreed. Currently trying to find this exact one pre owned.
Found a black dial but I want this one in specific. It's always possible to find a different watch with similar complication you're looking for, for a cheaper price, but I don't think I will find a watch that looks this way. A stunner.

Will post pics soon hopefully with one of these.

Looks clean. But, not a fan of randomly oriented screws on the bezel,

Thank you all for the responses.
I appreciate all the opinions.

Another question. I keep seeing many people saying they prefer the AP over the Hublot on the internet.
Now I do understand that an AP is nicer than most Hublots, but doesn't this watch have a different look than the AP RO? I don't exactly see that they look alike, not that much at least.
The Royal Oak is also over twice the price of this watch, and way over my budget.

Again, thanks for the responses.
Still tempted to purchase this beauty.

Is the AP what you really want? If so, save; don't get this because it's a compromise - otherwise you'll still be left wanting the AP.

If you really like this watch, go for it. You're the one that will see it everyday!

Hey.
I actually find this watch much more aesthetically pleasing than the RO.
Clean dial with a very nice shine in the dial. The Opaline to me looks like a stunner.
I made this thread because I am not extremely familiar with Hublot, but fell in love with with piece.

Will most likely make the purchase.
Thanks for the response!

Quite nice but the screws on the Hublot bezel pointing all over the place bugs the hell out of me. Just MHO. Among the WIS community, the general consensus is that Hublot is a copy of AP, esp the Offshore Which is why most recommend AP over Hublot.

Do you tend to get bored with your watches over time? If you buy new, you will take a hit when you sell as Hublot resale value tanks. This may also be a consideration.

In the end, if it sings to you, what other thinks is immaterial so by all means go ahead.

Check out this video for a little relevant background.

I will add just one point that has been conveniently omitted by Mr Biver (who has / had a personal interest in Hublot) who also has a most incredible collection of Patek Philippe watches.

Both the AP royal oak and The Patek Nautilus were designed by Gerald Genta.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gérald_Genta

The Hublot design was not one of Mr Gentas, yet admittedly shares traits from his designs.
So perhaps the general feeling is that Hublot is to AP what Invicta is to Rolex. The exception being Hublot charges a steep premium.

Looks good!!

But i recommend you to get the unico. I have both AP and Unico and prefer UNICO a lot. the crystal is more clear, skeleton, flyback, and impressive finishing

The imperfection in those screws are something I actually like for some reason.
The AP Royal Oak doesn't really sing to me that much. I never thought about a Hublot till I came across this specific watch.
The color of that Dial and shine in the inside / the bolts, they just really look amazing to me.
I'm managing a 20% off of the original price, and I realize that it can sometimes take a hit in resale value, but I think I might just take my chance.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it

I haven't seen the vid but I will in a while as I am caught up at work.
That was a pretty bad comparison IMO, as Invicta is really does not even come to mind as popular high end luxury watch. I do get your point nevertheless.

I feel that Hublot has come a long way in just 35 years, and LOTS of collectors add them to their collection. They are only getting more popular.
They do have some crazy looking watches, but they have some pretty amazing ones too. I am going to take my chance that theres a reason they have come so far in such little time.

I might be justifying this to myself because I really want to get the watch, but lets see. Not going to rush into the decision before I am sure!
I appreciate your help! :D
