Given the value of the watch, I would get to a competent watchmaker immediately and have the case opened so that moisture dries. Looks like seals need replacement. When was the last time it was serviced?

Oy. Keep the crown unscrewed and get the Sub to a watchmaker to check all gaskets and crystal.

See if you can open the back with a racquetball or similar rubber item and set the watch
flat on a bed of rice in a airtight container. Pronto! Then worry about a Indy watchmaker. |

Make sure the crown is opened and hopefully all is well. It happens sometimes so don’t panic. You should however visit a watchmaker to make sure gasket or whatever doesn’t seal does.

It’s a tiny bit of moisture. Get it fixed by a good watchmaker.
Not sure if opening it up and resting it in a bed if dusty rice is a good idea. Probably just needs new seals maybe a crystal. I’ve had old watches fog up worse than that with no ill effects. If you can remove the caseback, I would find a clean spot where you can rest it on a clean paper towel face down, and cover it with a clean drinking glass. The towel will absorb any moisture, and the glass will keep the dust off the movement. |

I had the same problem with my 1680....it was gasket. Basically unscrew and bring it to good watchmaker asap. Good AD should have in house watchmaker..(at least here in CZ). I made mistake by trying to get it rid of the moisture by hair drying it...it actually made it worse.
