The 053 is beautiful and the stock bracelet will upgrade it even more. I had one and let it go because the 42.6 mm was just too much - if they made a 40mm version I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

The size bothers me a bit too. Including the thickness. 13.8 mm.

I actually hear you on the size—even just making the lugs a bit shorter (something like on the turtle or the samurai) would have made a big difference. I waffles for a bit on the watch for this reason but pulled the trigger anyway. Still love it!

How does the 221 compare to your presage on the wrist with regard to fit/comfort, and legibility. I own the presage but was considering the 221 which is smaller diameter dial but thicker case . Thanks!

I’d say the 221 definitely wears smaller but only a little bit. Now that you’ve mentioned it I can tell the presage is a bit slimmer but I don’t think it’s really that noticeable. The 221’s crystal is a bit domed whereas the presage’s is flat I think is all.
