Icon9 Tudor GMT

July 27th i bought my new Tudor GMT. only had a two week wait for my watch.
from the start i did not like the way the bezel turned. very hard, felt very cheap
and loud. Rolex NY said send it in so we can take a look. the watch was gone
for almost a month. then watch came back to me with a call from the service
centre telling me they found nothing wrong. as far as i am concerned there was
no R&D that went into the design of the bezel. then while doing my morning
swims i noticed that the bezel would actually freeze up, honestly. the bezel would not turn either direction for up to 30 minutes. maybe until the water dried up underneath the bezel.
Then i noticed the date was stuck between two digits then skipped a day. for anybody doubting what i am telling you. i took photos. so now the watch is back at the service centre. so within 90 days the watch is falling apart not to
mention being in the shop more then on my wrist. having worn Rolex's for over 50 yrs., and many of my watches with bezels. this GMT is embarrassing to even
wear. I feel this GMT was rushed to market, and the more customers buying
this watch the more GMTs will end up at the service centre. i just hope Tudor
doesn't down play this problem or sweep it under the carpet like VW did.
i've always been a Rolex man and that is wear i'll stay.

The GMT bezel is same as Black Bay one - which in my opinion is top notch. The date issue is well known

The feel of the bezel turn is definitely not one of the watch's strengths, IMO. It would be a bigger issue for me if it was on one of the divers, but being it's a GMT, it's fine for my use.

And there have been numerous posts about the date change issue. That's unfortunate.

However, to say your watch is falling apart, or an embarrassment to wear, is being a little dramatic. I've had both Tudor and Rolex watches that I haven't bonded with and sent on their way, but I wouldn't write either brand off b/c of one bad experience. Just my opinion, YMMV.

If you don't like it I'll buy it!
