Grand Seiko 'Peacock' Hi-Beat Daily Wear?
I have wanted the Grand Seiko SBGJ227 since the day I realized they existed, but due to their limited release I resigned myself to thinking I'd never get one.
But today... I got one, relatively cheap! I currently have a ceramic GMT Master II, and a GS SBGV007 (basic black dial). But now that I am welcoming this piece into my baby collection, I'm considering selling my SBGV007, and using the peacock as a daily wear. My main worry is do you think it would be acceptable for daily wear? It's so beautiful, I can't help but worry I'm going to damage it. How do they hold up? |

All Grand Seiko are build for and are excellent for daily wearing. Absolutely no problem. Of course with prolong wearing scratches are bound to happen but this can happen to any watches.

It’s a great daily wear. I wore mine 2-3 times a week. I definitely had scratches on the bracelet but I’m missing mine!

I'm surprised how much lighter it is compared to my SBGV007, and it feels so much nicer on my wrist!

Curious what "relatively cheap" means. I've had my eye on this model and am wondering what people are paying these days.

This is good to hear. I’ve been wearing my snowflake daily ( so comfy and lovely I don’t want to take it off!) The titanium bracelet doesn’t show the scratches much ... I think it’s actually not scratching up as much as a SS bracelet. I’m not babying it .
