Does this 1680 look overpolished?

To my eye the brushing on the lugs doesn't look to be at the correct angle and the case edges look a little soft. However the lugs look pretty thick to me and the spring bars ends don't look to be sticking out at all. Crown guards also look decently thick. I'm thinking this could be a good candidate for a case refinish at LAWW.

What do you guys think?

Case looks great I wouldn’t send for refinishing

Case has lots and lots of life left. I wouldn’t touch it.

I think that the watch is a complete overhaul/rebuild and I would want the history on the case to see if it is a replacement too.

It may be a great daily wear.

+1 - It has service dial and hands, not a problem if the price reflects that

Case is 6M serial so I believe original. Daily wearer is exactly what I'm looking for! I have a Mk1 dial 1680 but it always bugs me that I can't read the time at night, and a little scared to take it in the water. So this one is the perfect solution. Just need my watchmaker to pop the back off and check out the movement now. Thanks!

It looks badly polished. Not overpolished. It is a bit ’soft’ and the surface is not done very good. It is still fat but it would benefit from a good polish.

If you are looking for something to submerge in water, I recommend sticking with modern. This watch has already lost much of its vintage appeal with all of the service parts.
