Let's see some faded GMT inserts. Show 'em!

I have a couple on my upstairs deck right now. This is about 6 months out in the deck. The string is so they do not blow away.

The Coke fades much more slowly than the Pepsi. The blue on the Pepsi and the black on the Coke seems to fade much more slowly than the rest of the insert.

Over the winter they didn’t fade much when UV was 2, but there is much greater progress when UV levels are above 7.

The red in the Coke bezel seem to fade from the Center outward to the edges. The Red on the Pepsi appears to turn pink evenly.

That’s kind of like cheating, isn’t it?

Original new inserts, faded naturally. In my mind it’s no different than buying a faded insert off the internet and inserting in your GMT. This way you know it’s done naturally, no chemicals or artificial UV lights.

As far as I can tell from the paper trail and the physical evidence (scratches that match between insert and bezel), the insert is original to the watch. Nothing crazy or collector grade, but I think it's just an honest workhorse example as a whole.
