I personally don't even call my BLNR a Batman. I like BLNR, the letters run off the tongue in a charming fashion. The only nickname I use is pepsi, it makes sense and is the most natural name over BLRO.

Ummmmmm, Diet Pepsi has only been around since 1964. That is the year before the Submariner received a date complication.

Your animosity towards the new BLNR/Batman is rather apparent ... and childish. You must be a disgruntled Batman on oyster or Pepsi owner feeling threatened by the new/improved Batman/BLNR.

When the first BLNR was released before the name Batman caught on it was being called The Bruiser. I still like that

How is jubilee bracelet feminine? Its origin was about celebrating 40 yrs, beautiful hunk of PM made even more attractive on the wrist for more formal occasions. I just don’t follow this thread.

Wear one for a week and then tell me you still want to call it “batgirl.” It’s a stunning watch, the jubilee suits it well. That’s not to say I don’t like the PCL oyster, both are great. Batgirl is stupid AF.

Also, for the record I don’t mind the nicknames. I’ve been into 4 different ADs over the last 2 or 3 months and they all have used hulk, Batman, Pepsi, Polar. My primary AD said their Rolex rep just uses terms like “green sub,” “ black and blue GMT, etc. I think the nickname haters need to take chill. But again, batgirl has got to go.

I prefer the new movement on jubilee. I hate it on oyster with PCLs. The LVc and SD43 are great on oyster. Picking up DJ41 with jubilee tomorrow. Buy what you want and appreciate wearing it. I just have to find a way to get a GMT with meteorite dial.

I love Rolex nicknames but absolutely hate Batgirl. It’s basically saying the jubilee is feminine.

I would call it the Strongest Batman. With more power reserve at 70 HRs. Or shall we called it the Batman with Stamina

At the AD, it will always be Batman because of the bezel & they sell the latest collection. Out in the forum world where people try to identify the old vs. the new, you might as well call it Batman Returns. Because it did.

I wonder what the average age of the people replying to this thread is

So much passion

So much insanity

It seems to me that those folks who are getting their knickers in a twist about their favourite watch being called ‘Batgirl’ are feeling really insecure and then diverting this onto BLNR Oyster owners as clearly it was one of them lot who coined the nickname in a vein attempt to feminise the new version just to drive up the prices of their old and outdated model

So, in summary, as a BLNR Oyster owner, enjoy your girly watch - we salute you

So entertaining

As an owner of the watch in question, I can say I really dont care what the nickname is. It is a beautiful watch with incredible power reserve and an unbelievably comfortable bracelet. Enjoy YOUR watch.
