I love my SD43, it is a great watch to wear, I removed the dive extension as well. I’ve had a couple of 1st gen Deep Sea’s, I really liked wearing them. I currently have the updated Deep Sea and I am getting used to the way it wears in comparison to the earlier generation.

I listened to forum advice and took my sd43 to the rolex service centre to have the diver extension removed and replaced with a normal link. now the bracelet fits perfectly around my wrist, wearing a lot more comfortable than before.

at first the lady look at my watch and said the diver extension cannot be removed because the links would then be scratched by the clasp. but then she agreed to take it to the back room and consult the technician, and they said ok because it's the new model sea dweller.
