That is absolutely stunning, Al. The finish of the watch is perfect and I'm sure in the "flesh" it would be something else!!

Beautiful watch, and a beautiful finish. The movement looks like a work of art. But you gotta wind the thing. I've almost forgotten how to do that.

I really enjoy winding my Panerai everyday. I look forward to the manual wind and have not even come close to tiring of it.

Yes like you Daren think man wind is just that little bit more mechanical.

Thanks guys - I'll post more pics soon. I do like the idea of a manual wind. I feel closer to the watch somehow, having to interact with it daily (at least more than just strapping it on).

I agree 100% Al, that is part of the beauty of the manual wind.

More pics!!

So, thought I would let you see the entire package. Yes, I know we don't buy them for the boxes, but once again far better than any Rolex box I've seen. Since this never has to be on a winder, I store it in the box when not in use (so far just at night ).

Here is a shot of the box open with the gem inside......

And finally, a shot of the box showing the drawer that holds the GO CD in it! Looks like the CD has tons of stuff on it, including a tour of the factory. I haven't had time to go through it yet, but I'm taking Friday off work, so that will probably be the day. Nice to get these things with the watch (beats an anchor any day in my books!).
