Rolex Daytona Rose Gold Questions
I have some questions and wondering if you could help me with regards to the Rolex Daytona, Everose Gold, 116515LN, Ivory dial.
1) What is the waiting list like? 2) Will the price decrease as much proportionally as the Ceramic Daytona in steel 3) As its precious metal, should prices be slightly negotiable. 4) What are your opinions on the watch. Thank you

1. There is none - easy to get and a slow seller.
2. The ceramic Daytona trades at a big premium so it does not decrease at all - the RG Daytona will be worth substantially less day 1. 3. Price very negotiable. 4. Nice watch but not much of a fan myself. I prefer Daytona on bracelet. So if you like - buy it right and doesn't much matter what we think!

Im working in £, but over here the daytona ceramic is £9K, but selling for a premium at £14 grey market. However, as time goes on and supply increases surely the price will drop. On the other hand, the rose gold model has less hype, so will its price be relatively unchanged over time, especially in comparison to the ceramic steel? Thanks

I'm sure it may be a bit tighter in England but in the US there is no wait and good discounts can be had.
Yes, it'll take a hit in the secondary market if it ever came to that. Gorgeous watch in my opinion. |

Thanks guys, really helpful. You say it all depreciates more, which I do agree is usually the case. However.
You can buy the Rose Gold for £16,500 right now, maybe even a little less. The steel is currently £14,000 In 10 years, when hype is less, the steel will surely drop... maybe to around £11K, just guessing here. Will the rose gold drop much more though? What I'm trying to get as is the daytona steel price in a bubble due to limited supply, and over time will that bubble pop, where as the rose gold was never in a bubble to begin with, so won't really change in price. I mean, if you were to get it at £16K, thats already £5K below retail! The drop has already happened?

In $ - you will have to adjust for gbp
My guess, a TRF reseller will pay you (gently worn) 16k for this (28k retail) You may be able to get for 22-23k bnib from an AD with a decent relationship So you will still lose a bunch if you flip Now - this one is a beauty and I'd take the plunge |

I also got the black dial which is in more demand than the ivory. £17K is a good price now from an AD, esp after the price rise, less from resellers. Resale will be around 13-14K, maybe less for the ivory.

I called into my local AD yesterday to enquire about Subs and Daytonac and they had this watch in.
The sales manager was very helpful - allowing me to try on a number of watches - this one included. It looks great but I don't want a leather strap otherwise I could have been tempted. |

I like the black dial, but it's a stunning watch either way. As my colleagues have pointed out, try to buy as right as possible to minimize your losses if you decide to sell it down the road.
