No the bezel is ceramic, that's part of the reason they upgraded it. It will never fade or scratch (well it's VERY hard to scratch at least, a diamond will do it.)

If you really like it I say do it, I think the white dial ceramic daytona is THE best sports rolex ever made (IMO of course, I just love the damn thing.)

Yeah that's the great thing about the ceramic bezels, they'll look new forever. Unless you get in a fight with a diamond chainsaw or something (obviously joking, I know if you try hard enough you can scratch it.)
