116520 is an awesome watch. If you wouldn’t have any heartache letting go of the Hulk, go for it.

I decided to take the plunge and go ahead with the 116520. Went over to my friend's place and we swopped the Hulk plus $3.5K. The watch looks really nice. Sad to see the Hulk go but happy to finally get a Daytona in my small collection. This is my only Rolex for now.

My friend gave me the casing so it "feels" like new.

Here is the watch on my hand. Feels very comfortable and did not need to change out/add any links since my friend's wrist size is almost like mine.

Have a great weekend ahead to everyone..!

Cheers.
Congrats!

Well done and congrats! If you really miss the LVc you can easily find one. The 116520 is really beautiful and comfortable on the wrist. Mine says hi!

Thanks everyone for helping me with the decision and of course my friend who was willing to break up his pair of "twins" to help me achieve mine.

Glad to be part of the Daytona family and absolutely love the watch. I like the fact that it can be my daily beater, looking both professional and sporty at the same time.

Cheers.

I picked up the same watch a couple months ago and wear it every day during the week. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!

Is you want it, go for it! The Daytona will always be desirable if you don't love it.

You'll be cold-calling for months if not years for a Hulk w/o AD history.

That 116520 had been polished in the past, the bezel numbers are rounded and shinier than non polished examples

Rolex actually still makes the 116520 bezel. You can pay $250 and have it replaced. I have confirmed this.

Consider the Daytona and whomever can cold call and get me a hulk in 20, I’ll pay you a finders fee lol

I'm biased, as you can see in my signature line...however, if this was for the CERAMIC daytona, then it would be a yes.

Does a new bezel fix the polished case also?
