Batman BLNR now officially discontinued

Guys, I picked up a couple of pieces from my London Rolex AD yesterday.
Including the brand new Rolex (full) brochure which arrived 3 days ago and now includes the new Baselworld 2018 pieces as well as the full model range.

The store manager asked me to look through the sports watch sections as there was something missing. The green sub was still there. The BLNR gone! Does not exist in the brochure. Meaning no more production of the BLNR.

Yes there are pieces of current new BLNR stock dribbling through but once they're gone they are gone!

Don't believe me? BS?

Go find the new brochure and see for yourself! Or talk to a an AD about ordering one.

The last Batman was already made in 2016 with Ben Affleck.

About a day after the BLNR is discontinued, quickly replaced by threads with news/rumours about the all new updated BLNR

Rolex ADs cannot “order” a BLNR anyway as they are allocation only pieces.

For me, I’ll believe it’s discontinued when no longer on the website....that’s it.

lol, so what we're saying is, if the model is not in the latest full Rolex brochure which is just days old its all fine?

Also, (a bit of logic here) how many variations of the GMTII do you think Rolex will maintain in their line, given three more have been added (SS-Pepsi, Everose/Steel, all Everose). But yes fine, BLNR is still a current model even through its gone from their days old new full brochure.

-1 probably won't be there much longer.

There must have been a huge printing error on their new full brochure which is distributed worldwide!

Just go get one.

From the perspective of business, it makes no sense for them to discontinue any models, let alone a popular one, imo.

Agree with you, and makes sense for 'normal businesses', but we all know Rolex works in mysterious ways. But going back to the actual sheer number of GMT models (3 more added recently) still surprising?

The white gold Pepsi is still there.

Don't shoot there messenger guys. Walk into an AD and ask why the BLNR is not in the latest brochure.

You do realize there's 47, I repeat, FORTY SEVEN variations of the Daytona on the website? and you're using the fact there's 9 variations of the GMT as a factor in it being discontinued? I mean, let's not even mention the Datejust variations....

Why should I listen to you when there are 2 units of BLNR dated May 2018 up for sale in the Malaysian market?

Along with some other pieces, the Daytona is unique in that regard. Always has been. How many deep sea’s are there?

and now you're attempting to back up your claim, by comparing the GMT Master, a staple Rolex which has been around as long as the Submariner and Daytona (almost 70 years)......to a watch that was just debuted in 2008 and is the biggest, thickest Rolex ever produced.

Again...

Even if it is discontinued, whats the big deal? It's gone, done. Move on. New models of GMT with newer colors and movement is hitting the market. Some point in time it will be discontinued either ways.

It makes sense to remove it from the website if they are planning on updating it with the new movement. Although the DBlue stayed on the site all the way through. I guess we will find out in March next year.

Look at the Rolex Website. The Batman BLNR is still there as a current model. The Rolex brochure can't display every model in print there is not enough space.

Might I suggest in future you post facts and not on assumption purely based on a watch not in a brochure.
