How were sport watches made in the 70's?

Hey all,

Does anyone know how rolex made and assembled their watches in the 70's?

I know the cases were hand finished, but what about the assembling of the movement? Was this done by one person or multiple people for each stage?

Was anything else done by hand, Tritium plots, markers, writing etc.

Any knowledge or links would be great, just for my own interest

Cheers
