Day indicator uneven

My 5164's day indicators are uneven should I send it in for warranty work?

The indicators transition from white to blue as it gets to night. Are you sure they are just not in the process of changing over?

I think the OP means the two day indicators are not turning evenly. The local indicator seems to have turned sligtly faster than the home day indicator.

Day indicator uneven

When I zoom in on your picture, they look nearly identical. If I nitpick what I am seeing the local indicator looks ever so slightly ahead of the home indicator.

In all honesty I see nothing that would bother me.

Yes I agree. Maybe others can show thier 5164 and we can judge if it is normal? I've come to accept that PP doesn't sell perfection and I can live with that. I like the whole package.

Debating on getting a 5164 but the added thickness over my 5167 is holding me back.

Looks very close to even to me. Slight parallax effect might be making them look slightly off. I would not be concerned.

I see what you mean and looks off to me. If you have another watch to wear for a few months I'd send it in.

How long would that simple adjustment take? 3-4 months?

Yes the indicators look uneven send it back to the AD to get repaired and if it's under the warranty that's even better.

If it's off it isn't by much, I'd try to ignore it. Great watch by the way

I would bring up to your AD and see what he thinks.
If under warranty I would have him make a note or keep it on file and then when you send it in for the first service have it looked at

I say fix it. Tough to look at a nice watch and know it's not working properly.

I recently inquired about doing exactly that with a dial issue, Patek claimed their policy required the watch to be fixed during the warranty period.

Pateks position is that they can not say if it is a manufactures defect or an accident that happened after sale until the service department opens it up and makes an evaluation.
