Which dress watch would you buy? TT DJ41 or JLC Master Ultra Thin Date....

Which dress watch would you buy for formal events and to wear to work occasionally?

TT DJ41 as shown in the picture below

or JLC Master Ultra Thin Date as shown in the picture below

(they are roughly in the same price....)

Current collection: Rolex Datejust 41, Rolex Submariner 116610LV, Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

For a dress watch it would be the JLC.

Definitely not the DJ41.

The JLC is more formal and dressy.
I have both a TT DJ41 and the JLC MUT Moon. The JLC is my go to piece for formal events.

If I had more formal events to attend, I would have a thin JLC of some kind by now. JLC all the way.

JLC all the way, but I would prob go Master Control Date or Master Ultra Thin w/o date. The Rolex is no dress watch and IMO not pretty either.

I would also vote for a JLC, but unless you wear a suit to work everyday, I am not sure I would want a dress watch with a date. Why have a date on a watch that you are not going to wear a lot?

Also, thin manual wind watches make great dress watches IMO. A lot of options in your price range.

JLC. The Rolex pictured is too blingy for me.

The JLC. I prefer staid over bling. Take a look at the JLC Reversos, too.

JLC but a Lange Saxonia ideally, not much more than the DJ.

JLC easy but probably moon or PC (WG). In fact, I will, at some point. This one is nice, too, though. Very nice ...

I definitely like the JLC better and it fits with your collection much better as well. Still, for what JLC charges for their simple gold watches, I'd go for a simple Lange or Vacheron instead for only a little more money.
