Buying scents from Fragrancenet.com?

I’m looking for a light, citrusy, spicy, woody scent but so far I haven’t come across something light with good sillage and longevity. If something like that exists, please share!

My wife got me a Creed fragrance discovery (sampler) set from Saks Fifth so I can choose my favorite from the bunch. I never owned Creed cologne before and I liked a few from the sampler set. I found the bottles to be somewhat pricey on Creed website so I came across Fragrancenet. Has anyone purchased Creed (or any other scents) from Fragrancenet.com before? If so, how was your scent? A lot people are saying they’re so discounted because it’s old inventory from Creed/manufacturer and some are saying there’s a possibility that the scents are fake. Thoughts?

Never bought from them. I worry too much about it being counterfeit or watered down. But wear either Bond No. 9 Scent of Peace or Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille depending on my mood and the season.

The former meets the description you gave better.

That’s my fear as well. So far all of my scents have been from Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom so the peace of mind part wasn’t an issue. Not so sure about the online fragrance sites.

Will try samples you mentioned.

Funny story. When we bought the Bond No. 9 from Saks our sales guy was a fella with a really think European accent who got very excited about his product. When we described what we were looking for he ran over and grabbed this particular scent. We wanted something the wife and I could both wear that was very refreshing.

He comes back and tells us to just try it. After shoving the coffee beans in our face to clear our noses. He sprays it and we took a whiff. Told him we really liked it and asked what it was.

Centipede.

We were like, odd, but ok. Whatever you say. Smells good to us, we’ll take it. They swipe my card and wrap it up and we leave.

About a week later we are taking it out if the bag/box and the wife reads the box.........Scent of Peace.

Scent of Peace........Centipede.......same difference, right???

It is a very refreshing, clean scent to me. I am very sensitive to some scents. They just burn my nose/throat and cannot wear of be around them.

They’re legitimate. I can’t offer any more than my 20 plus sales from them, including Wall Street, aventus, spring flower have been verified as real by the boutiques in nyc. I buy from them without any concern whatsoever now. They take forever to ship, though.

I Discarded the boxes many years ago but I’ve never had an issue with them other than they do take a long time to ship. I bought wall street from them and it took like two months.. good, luck. I just bought aventus from them (my wife wears it.. I can’t particularly stand it myself) and it was 302$ usd including shipping. This will be her third bottle from that site. She wears aventus daily and works around women at work. They all go crazy over her wearing aventus (like a bad porn movie plot, I know.. I told my wife if she wants to sleep with any woman there, it wouldn’t bother me, and I said that in front of a nurse by her.. they laughed and laughed about that for hours I was told).

Creed is one of the most faked fragrance brands out there. There is no shortcut to take IMO - if you like it, take the plunge and buy the real thing. Look at it as a long term investment.

If you are reluctant to spend the cash, try some of the upfront imitation fragrances instead. I like Aventus but I've also really enjoyed some of the Aventus copies and pulled/seen to plenty of birds as a result.

The Miami creed boutique verified my aventus from fragrancenet as 100 percent authentic. And yes, I told them where I bought it. That site buys in bulk and my creeds aren’t fake. I’ve worn creeds for 35 years off and on. I’m old.
I once bought green Irish tweed from saks. The bottle leaked and they refused to allow me to return or exchange it. I actually have had better experiences with amazon , scentiments, and fragrancenet. Or perfumed court.

Who are they buying in bulk from?

I've not bought from that site but my comments about Creed being faked remain.

I don't buy Creed anymore as it's too expensive. I prefer Amarf etc.

Check out the reviews on basenotes.. I have no idea how they buy in bulk. I would say if people can’t afford creed , buy decants from perfumed court. They’ll gouge you but it’s the best way to sample before buying. I’ve bought creed from boutiques also. I agree creed is way overpriced but they’re good too. Their original vetiver is my fav for men. The gentleman from Miami told me that site by us in huge quantities but did not say from whom.

Cheers, will do.

I don't understand how a brand that only retails it's product in genuinely high end outlets somehow ends up in the hands of people who buy in bulk, decant it and re-sell. It make's no sense.

I am very much tempted to try however and may pick up a sample. I've bought 5ml samples before on other websites and they have been (nice) fakes.

Either way though, even the fake stuff gets you plenty of skirt. Unrivaled fragrance IMO.

I've been buying from Fragrance.net for ages when I need a new bottle. Never an issue and a fraction of the rip off stores that sell retail.

I’ve never used fragrancenet.com, but wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them.

Try one of my favorites: Gucci Guilty Pour Homme:

https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/...mme-11037.html

This one should hit most, if not all of your requirements.

To clarify.. fragrance net doesn’t decant. I am sorry if I conveyed that. My bad. Fragrance net only sells full bottles.

The site that decants is called perfumedcourt. Perfumedcourt is interesting because it’s basically guys and gals in New York, last I read, decanting their personal colognes. They’re legit, but they gouge for,the privilege. For example, a decant of aventus from perfumed court. 15 ml is 87$ usd. But I like them bexause they sell, loads of rare, discontinued fragrances. Stuff like Santa Maria novella, etc too. These guys have literally 1000s of items. It’s insane. They have original Guerlain formulations too or YSL stuff from 1970s (you’ll pay dearly, though). I recently bought a decant of a few Tom fords private lines from them. Andy tauer (a master of fragrance, Andy is) too. Bond no 9 had issues with this site and they no longer decant any bond no 9.

I agree in general if it’s too good to be true, it isn’t true.. merry Xmas to all!

Creed erolfa is a light woody, aquatic scent. If you want a formal fragrance, either buy bois du Portugal from creed or Patricia nicolai a New York. Patricias New York perfume lasts 48 hours and can be smelled from 10 feet away. It’s insanely strong but very woody. I wear her New York to weddings and formal events and women love it. I’m older though.

My Mom bought me some fake Aventus from them a few years back as she didn’t know any better. I brought it to Neimans bc the bottle and sprayer was off. They did refund me though when I called them out. PASSS!!

I’m seeing mixed reviews! Some good, some bad experiences. I just find it hard to believe that a high end fragrance company (Creed) would sell the old inventory to companies like Fragrancenet at a fraction of the price only for those companies to “steal” Creed’s sales with the discounted bottles. Fragrancenet sells a Creed bottle for ~$180 while the same size bottle on Creed’s website is $400+. We all know what big brands like Louis Vuitton does with their unsold/old inventory—they destroy it. Would make sense that Creed would do the same. We don’t see aggressive or any discounts on Creed scents in retail stores like Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom—only full retail pricing. I’m no expert—maybe the scents on Fragrancenet are legit after all. All I know is I don’t feel like paying $400+ for a bottle at the moment

If it sounds to good to be true, then something isn’t right. I only buy Creed from Neiman Marcus. When in doubt, do without.

Good one! Scentofpeace or centipedes—same difference!

I’m also sensitive. I learned the hard way after wasting numerous bottles (still have a dresser full of bottles that I don’t know if I’ll ever use up) and learning I get sick of the fragrance after a few uses. I love them at first smell but then it’s just too much, too bold, too sweet. I think what I REALLY need is a clean, fresh, subtle scent with good longevity.

They are designed to replicate the name on the bottle their is several of them. Jazz Club smells like you are in a Jazz Club by the fireplace smells just like that its pretty crazy. I have a few bottles but I mostly wear creeds.https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=628893

You can follow Jeremy Fragrance on Youtube to describe them

The longevity and sillage of the Patricia’s NY sounds tempting but I believe I’ve been there before with my Aqua di Parma Oud. VERY woody with some leather notes, long lasting but overwhelming. I have the 8oz bottle and I used half of it already—I still smell it every single time i put it on and it lasts the entire day (I only spray 2 times). I need something light and subtle but I almost feel that a light, subtle, clean scent will wear off too quickly.

They almost sound like they’d be overwhelming lol. I wore silver mountain water today and I think it’s up my alley. Fresh and subtle. I see you own that as well. Is it the lightest/freshest scent in your Creed lineup?

I say the new Creed Aventus cologne very light and fresh and is my favorite. Not the regular Aventus the Aventus cologne grey box. I really vouch for this https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=683300

I have the sample. I’m excited. I just haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m going in order with the discovery sampler lol. Have both Aventus and Aventus Cologne samples. I tried the regular in Neiman Marcus and while it was good, it wasn’t good enough for me to purchase.
