A.Lange and Sohn -- most complicated purchase

Well the purchase was not complicated other than raising the funds.. But the watch with the most complications I have purchased to date.

The 1815 RATTRAPANTE PERPETUAL CALENDAR.

Never owned a perpetual and in general had not had a lot of interest in perpetuals.. But if one is to buy one.. Feb 2020 is a good year to do so.. :)

I had been considering the Patek 5970 or 5270 both the older silver dial and the new salmon platinum dial perpetual. I started considering the Lange about 3 or 4 months ago as well.. and went back and forth. Because of the cost wanted to take my time thinking about it...

But the manufacturing, movement and the fact that the Lange has a PR indicator, split chrono in addition -- and I like their moon phase a lot more than the Patek.

I do have a small wrist and needed a short strap but it balances well on my wrist and very happy with it albeit only had it for a few days.

here are a few cell phone shots for now

Simply amazing! I would choose this one over the 5270 also. Have you considered the 5970?

Movement is a work of art. Love how the dial does not look cluttered even with all the complications. Congrats on a spectacular watch!

Probably one of the greatest watches ever. Absolutely amazing. Congratulations. The movement is beyond stunning. This is a watch that CEOs, kings and rulers wear.
