This is tv LV Monogrammed Canvas with Cow Hide Leather Trim. That’s what it is advertised as by LV. It’s priced at €335 red tv

LV wears like steel and lasts a long time. Unless you get a puppy and don’t watch her for like 5 min with said wallet within her reach.

Expensive lesson learned.

Anyone reccomend a wallet for carrying larger amounts of cash ? I normally carry a couple credit cards, concealed carry permit, and 300-1000 in cash.

I have an epi leather card holder from LV that I got about a year ago. Looks new as the day I bought it and I use it daily. Only downside is that it doesn't hold much more than 8-10 bills in the center pocket, which isn't too bad since I mostly use cards for purchases.

I’m thinking about getting this one:

https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/p...nvprod1000217v

“The Card Holder in Damier Graphite canvas is distinguished by its electric-blue trim and lining, which contrast boldly with the black and gray of one of Louis Vuitton's signature materials.”

I really like the electric blue trim, lining and stitching. It’s longer than a typical card holder, so maybe not as compact...? It looks like it can hold 4 cards (2 in each of the side slots) and bills folded in half in the center compartment with no problem, although I heard it’s very stiff. I’m sure it will break in very nicely though.

Personally, shop online or visit and store and get whichever one meets your needs. All are good, yet sooooo many configurations to choose from.

The below is what i use, or should i say used as never carry a wallet any longer as my cell phone case is also a wallet.

LV's quality has gone down big time over the years. I couldn't find a decent condition product I was after over 3 states. Finally ordered a new one from online, leather was all bunched up badly due to the zipper being poorly installed. Back looked super slumped & used already as they refuse to keep packing in their products. Botega & Goyard are great but for a daily driver I use Bally grained leather products(harder type like the belts) but only the 'Made in Italy' ones, they seem to last forever & if you can get them at 40% off sale or at outlet you can't lose. A friend has 2 similar wallets over 10 years old, beaten around every day & they look less than a year old. My sister has tons of vintage LV & Balenciaga pieces she purchased from new(when things were FAR cheaper) that still look like new which shows how great their quality used to be. I personally do not like how the EPI leather wears over time as it makes the wallet look quite cheap. Have seen EPI styles worn out after less than a year. Lots of terrible reviews/threads in regards to LV & tohers changing quality & defects. Best way is to check as many as possible in person & online. Highest cost doesn't always mean best quality. All the best!

I’ve had the same mixed experience. The leather, top notch. The edges, not so much. They showed wear pretty quickly.

The LV canvas is the way to go in durability. however, I find the stitching is the weakest part of the wallet. When it gets bad enough I will take it to the store and have them fix it.

So far I've lived a just short while with LV canvas. The quality does seem good, but I don't think I want canvas again. Sorta feels like rubber. I've determined I prefer leather.

Mainly interested in Taurillon, Epi, and Taiga. From photos, the Taiga resembles Saffiano, which is very durable (I'm coming from Prada). How do LV's various leathers compare to each other in durability? Especially around the corners/edges?

Unfortunately this thread turned out to be quite enabling.

Ouch. My condolences.
I had a puppy whose teeth found my miniature West-McLaren-Mercedes F1 car. Instead of the tobacco sponsor livery, it just had the driver's name, Mika. Ironically, my puppy's name was Mika, after the very driver of that car, Mika Häkkinen.

They hold up decently well. I mean they are canvas/plastic.

I have 2 LV wallets and they totally take a beating.

However, I have found that for the price Montblanc makes very durable wallets which are full leather and much less money. I used one daily for 8 years and still looks great.

If you are sold on the LV brand then please buy what makes you happy.

If you are open to suggestions my favorite out of all mens wallets which i own is Berluti. For the money, in my opinion its blows LV out of the water and comes with true craftsmanship.

I've noticed that several of the other high end brand's (Gucci, Burberry, might even throw Coach in there) quality has gone down. I've had my LV wallet for almost a decade and it has aged better than my Coach and Gucci ones. If you're going for a high end brand, then stick to LV.

I totally agree with you. I was considering Gucci, Tom Ford and a few others, but will most likely pick up an LV (see my post #36). I’m also considering another Goyard St. Sulpice cardholder. I had a grey one and sold it a few years ago. The sky blue and a few of the other special colors are really nice!

I ended up getting this LV Slender Pocket Organizer:

https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/p...nvprod1740216v

The Slender Pocket Organizer is a new model which was only released in the last few months. LV does not anticipate releasing this item in additional colors in the near future. The Damier Graphite is a nice color way. It flies under the radar compared to the other color ways.

It’s definitely slimmer than the regular Pocket Organizer since there is no external pocket. The external pocket was always a deal breaker for me. Also, the top part is open like a billfold wallet so you can slide bills, receipts, etc. in and out with ease!

That being said, I’m fairly certain that this is a keeper. It is compact for what it is, but kind of thick. As I stated in the past, I usually carry a simple cardholder or money clip (4-5 cards and a handful of bills), but I can see a need to have a folding cardholder, pocket organizer type wallet like this one.

How does the canvas break-in over time? The canvas is fairly stiff, so I don’t think it will soften up much, but it should break-in well, flatten and form around the cards...?

Nice choice, and yeah looks like a thicker card holder.

Meh, the Slender Pocket Organizer is not a keeper. It’s too bulky. So back to searching for a simple card holder. I’m still considering the one I referenced in post #36 or same style in the Monogram canvas:

https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/p...-000931#M61733

Damier Graphite canvas is definitely more discreet, but you can’t go wrong with the iconic Monogram canvas!
