Nice!

I do the same. I was on my local AD a few days ago and was surprised they actually had a couple of pieces on display:

TT Sea Dweller
Yacht Master 40 Rhodium
Yacht Master 37 Rhodium
Yacht Master 40 Blue
TT Yacht Master 40 Chocolate
DeepSea Black

Too much disappointment or too much temptation.

That warm feeling, I understand. That same feeling also led me to two kids that are even more expensive than this hobby lol

Absolutely agree. This is my first purchase with them but they have always been very nice and accommodating. The new store is very well done.

I paid retail. Perhaps should have requested a discount but I doubt that would have been granted

Definitely one of my favorites! Congratulations on a stunning piece.

ADs here are very safe to walk in to. There's one in Waikiki and every time I go in a few seconds later they bring out a bottle of water and a parking validation because they know that's the only reason I ever stop in. I always remind them that I'm ready to purchase and we both kind of chuckle at each other and I'm on my way.

I agree. It was the first model I fell in love with years ago. I was at Capetown recently and tried on the Root Beer they have. That is a beautiful piece as well. Really considered jumping on it but held off.

Congrats. I think its always dangerous walking into my AD cause they're so nice and friendly. Especially when I go in with my wife. I consider it a mere flesh wound walking out with only purchasing a bracelet or ring. Thank goodness they don't have any stock!!

I would have to go on cold turkey watch medication.

Perfectly safe here to. I don't even know why they have AD's anymore. Why even have a Rolex shop? Why have human staff? Might as well just have a 1800 number to call and tell a robot to send me a txt like "if ever". Or just have the Rolex factory and a lottery run on the internet for a watch that I may want to pick up direct from Rolex HQ. I'll write the winning ticket into my will. Maybe a future grandson might be lucky enough to collect it when he is over 50. Maybe the ticket will be worthless. Who knows? ....

There is not a single watch I would consider owning ever in stock in an AD that I have ever seen. Not in over 5 years..In Melb, Sydney, Singapore, HK, or Japan or any airport in Asia, Dubai or the US.... or even as a demo to try on. I haven't even seen one SS on display in an AD in years.....wait.. I think I remember seeing a Milgauss once.. in a window.. like 2015 or something.. I think it was an AD... if so, that AD is no longer there.

One day I'll be walking by an AD and there it will be.. The latest GMT pepsi - probably on a Jubille. It will have a special movement that works in zero gravity. And a GMT hand that shows the time in an alternative universe. I'll walk in (actually I'll be most likely floating by in zero gravity) and give the nice man my Amex bitcoin via tapping my forearm against the point of sale device in the store. Then put the watch on my wrist and float out. I will even have the actually serial number given to me and a certification chip injected under my skin. That syncs at all times with the watch. The man will make a comment as I sail out the store.

"Welcome to club Rolex" (he will say) "it's a lifetime purchase"...

I'll agree with him...

In what alternative lifetime ? I have no idea

But not this one....

In answer to your question:

It's safer than it used to be, but, with your post as evidence, not completely.

Congrats, man. What a great watch...and find.

Lol. I bought mine 9 months ago. I asked the SA for a discount and he politely said he won’t have any trouble selling it to the next guy at MSRP.
