A generous TRF member donated his Mario Paci strap to me!
A few weeks ago I was browsing the Panerai discussion forum and was excited to see a post by Arnaud (lapince) titled “Giving away free Mario Paci strap”
You can read that thread here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=340249 lapince was giving away a pre V MP strap, tan 24/24 with sewn in PVD buckle to the first person who messaged him! I was too excited to read the details and sent a private message right away asking if the strap was still available. After going back to the thread, I noticed that the offer was to someone living in Europe only. I live around Los Angeles, CA, USA. Sadly, I sent lapince another message saying that I was was sorry that I did not live in France and that I messaged him too quickly out of excitement. I thought that was the end of that. Much to my surprise, I received a message back from lapince saying that he would be happy to ship the strap to me from Europe… and pay for shipping also! His complaint about the strap was that it was “too thin” for his liking, and that it was going unworn. I just received the strap and have put it on my Radiomir 337 right away. I think the “thinness” of the strap is great and compliments the thinness of my Panerai quite nicely. Although the strap is 115/75, same measurements as my OEM strap, I’ve read that MP straps do tend to fit smaller, since they have extra holes. One unexpected bonus was that my wife (who has smaller wrists than me), can share and also wear the Panerai now. Arnaud (lapince) is truly a stand up guy and WE are both VERY thankful for his generosity. Thank you lapince and thank you TRF!! Here are some pics taken from my iPhone: p.s. yes, that buckle sure does look big on my small wrist, but I actually like it! |

Strap looks great.
Pure class, all around on this section of the forum. Cheers to the giver and receiver.
