wanting to push go on pam 392

so my last purchase was a submariner and now i have decided that i would definitely love a panerai 392.

meets all the criteria. date without bubble, 42mm, SS etc.

but i have a conundrum. i could buy it in the uk new but pay a premium or wait until i go on holiday later this year and buy it from a official dealer for a saving of £1000 plus the tax(i guess, having not looked into it).

i am not in any rush but i was hoping for some wise words from the forum

is waiting worth £1,000+? my guess is "yes", since the 392 has been out for a while and you haven't picked it up yet.

Waiting makes sense to me if you're in no rush. I love my 392. It has all the features I wanted in a Panerai--and 42 mm is a great size. I wore a 44 mm (111) for several years--loved the watch but never got comfortable with the size on my ~7 inch wrist. The 392 still has lots of presence (a friend mistook it for a 312 before taking a closer look), but I find it much much more comfortable. I wish Panerai would bring out some more 42 mm models. Post some pics if you pick it up!

cheers guys & nice pic profess1.

last time i bought a watch i was far too keen to get hold of it!!! but i am happy to wear my sub whilst i wait.

both dealers are official so no worries about authenticity and i am guessing i can get it serviced at a local AD when necessary.

this is one i tried on previously.
