The 005 vs 111
Sorry to hit you guys with all these crazy newbie questions but why is the 005 less expensive than the 111 the only cosmetic difference is the logo on the 005 but new in the box they can be had 5-600 less than the 111 ?

Hey,
off the the top of my head; -Solid case back vs clear case back -Painted dial vs sandwich dial -The movement of the 111 is superior (swan neck regulator , decorated bridges among other things Best Paul

I had gone for the 005 as my first and loved it. Either one you can't go wrong although maybe consider saving up a little more (or go used) for a 312.

I used to own a G Serial 111, I actually like the sausage (painted) dial better.
So I would get the 005. Before someone looks at my signature and asks! I own the 177 because I like the brushed look of titanium, and those only come in sandwich dial...

On a 111 painted dial is a winner, I'd find a nice pre loved G serial 111. Large brushed crown guard and painted dial.

Personally I love the sandwich dial on the 111. It's a subtle feature but always draws me in. The 111 looks classic and is probably one of the few PAMs I haven't changed my opinon on
