Where to buy classic 911?
Hello World!
I'm looking for 964 C2 Targa or 911S Targa. Are you able suggest some trusted classic dealer like Beverly Hills Car Club? Or maybe somebody wants to sale own 911. Have a nice day. |

Check here often: www.bringatrailer.com
I’m in Houston, TX and there is a car dealer here that specialize in air cooled 911’s, https://victory-motorcars.ebizautos.com/. Finally, this place is also in Houston, I think they are a repair/modification shop but probably would have a good network of customers/ potential sellers who could help find what you are looking for. https://www.modernaircooled.com/ Hope this helps. Good luck! |

X2 bringatrailer. BAT auctions have many private owners showing many pics and videos. Its also a forum type auction where many collectors and experts chime in giving good info and comments on the vehicle for sale. There are usually many auctions closing each day after a one week run.

Make sure you have a classic Porsche 911 mechanic lined up 'before' you buy the car. If it needs service, most mechanics do NOT have the specialized tools to fix it, but they also have no idea how to fix it. |

Check out euromotionauto.com, the guy that runs it is an enthusiast with a good reputation. He sells cars sometimes on bring a trailer as well. Reach out to him specifically with what you want and I'm sure he can find it. If I was to buy another 911, I would probably go thru him.

HOLT Motors.
They only sell the best however, and priced accordingly. For a solid driver, Tarek-look on rL in 964 forum. |

Although you may have good reason answers like this without details just are not that helpful.

Rennlist has a very good classified section, recently seen some nice 964's. Bring a Trailer has been saturated with buyers and things seem to be going at Hodinkee prices IMO.

+1 on most of those, particularly Holt. I bought a great 3.2 from Ron Barnaba and couldn’t be happier. www.barnabaautosport.com

Sloan is the best followed by Holt for great examples.

Why not an SC or Carrera 3.2? They're the most plentiful and your chances of finding a good one are much better than with a 964 (of which Targa's are rare) or 911S Targa. 964's were extremely unloved until the last 5 years or so, maybe because the heavy-looking bumpers and the all-around superiority of the 993's hurt them. They were so much cheaper than the impact bumper cars that many owners just didn't take very good care of them, and now good ones are very hard to come across and sell for all the money.
Here's a pic of my '84, which I bought in December, an all original car with 42k and service records from new. Lived its entire life within 20 miles of the original selling dealer. Factory options include sport seats, sport shocks, spoilers, and limited slip. I've done a few upgrades and it's in the shop getting a new second gear synchro, clutch, and major a/c upgrade and new fuel lines. |

Whatever you do, remember that these are all going to be rather old cars, relatively expensive to maintain and repair, and you absolutely must get it inspected by a knowledgeable 911 specialist regardless of where you buy it from.
I've had 5 911s. They are uniquely special, but honestly the old ones aren't very fast by today's standards and were not technologically advanced even in their day.
