Big fan of Carmina!
Some Fratelli Rossetti and Santoni sprinkled in between too. Developed this addiction about a year ago (like I needed another).

Here a few. Love a classy, quality shoe. And a shine on it. 20200609_204435.jpg20200507_173059.jpg20200504_125210.jpg20200503_164845.jpg20200426_123624.jpg

Nice!!

Having the same addiction, not such a bad one to have. Personally I would much rather pay a bit more for things that last and wear better than those that don't.

I have a few pair of Carmina's myself.

Personally, I just see the value of buying things that are well made, look nice, and are made to last.

Shoes carry you throughout your life.

It’s something I learned the hard way.
Too long have I neglected the value of shoes leaving me with a poor foot-condition . Until very recently when I learned about Santoni; wore them at the store and went all-in.

Love the process of acquiring, cherishing and fhen breaking in these bad boys on a befitting adventure.

Hand made (to last) in italy, finest leather guarantee, goodyear welted and wear like a custom-made glove.

I'm a big fan of Carmina, but I have never been able to buy from them, size is a big issue for me. I wear size 17 EE, so most mainstream brands don't carry my size.

Luckily I found a newish brand on Reddit that works Made to Order, and offers small and large sizes, up to 17. I tried them and I must say that I'm more than satisfied with my purchase, quality is pretty good (blake stitched calf leather) for the price point. I bought a pair of Chukka Boots and a pair of Double Monks, and I can't tell you how happy I am for being able to wear stylish quality shoes, and not whatever is in stock and looks like a canoe.

Their website is People of the Seine

Good stuff! About to venture into Vass)

Luckily my feet are medium to narrow-ish in width so I can rock Carminas no problem.

Cheers.

I have one pair from Vass, but for various reasons that's the only pair of Vass shoes that I own and plan to own.

One reason was the numerous users on Styleforum saying they could never determine their size on any Last for certain because each pair they received was slightly different.

The second reason was because a good number of users on Styleforum mentioned that they had received shoes from Vass which had mistakes.

The third reason was because about the same time I determined that for various reasons to include a good fit and the styles of Edward Green and Gaziano and Girling were something I found more appealing.

Here's hoping you don't experience either the first or second issues I spoke of.

Yeah, I just feel lucky to be able to rock something that looks good and doesn't look like clown shoes

Good luck on those Vass. I've seen great stuff from them on friends.

My first 2 pairs of Vass! Couldn't be happier.

So happy that I'm eyeing two more pairs of oxfords!

I have issues...20201029_115841.jpg20201017_183425.jpg20201017_153606.jpg20201016_121552.jpg

Let's see if this is better. The difference in the shade of museum aren't extremely significant.

Just got them cleaned up, what an awesome local find!!

Some vintage Florsheim Imperial Longwings in Burgundy Shell Cordovan...looked them up and they are the 93605, from around 1968-72 I'm thinking..sheesh, looks like they've never been worn.

Interesting, going to *maybe* have to send them to my Cobbler for a half-heel and a Topy possibly, maybe a French Tip? These have what's called a "suicide" heel...haven't even worn them yet.
