You travel well. September is not a bad time at all to be in Maine! Enjoy Acadia! You can't go wrong in Utah with the Mighty 5. Have fun with the young'un in Bryce!

I had a trip to Glacier planned last week, but a recent hospitalization for the Corona has left me with markedly diminished lung capacity. The Missus and I decided elevation and exertion weren't the best bet right now. Was really looking forward to marking what many call the Crown Jewel of the continent off my list.

Thanks for taking me on vacation for a few minutes!! I'm sure those streets would be jammed with tourists in a normal year. Glad to see some activity to give the business owner's some hope.

I've been to more than 60 countries and the Jackson area is in my top 2-3 places on the planet. Jackson Hole/Grand Targhee is my favorite ski destination. I've only been in the winter on many different ski trips but really need to get there in the Summer to do all of the great things that you did on your trip. However, I can say that driving a snowmobile in -25f weather out to Old Faithful can be quite the life experience.

How did you like the Gun Barrel? What did y'all have?

Beautiful! Thanks for posting!

How much it has changed ... and has stayed the same. I hitchhiked through 35 years ago with under a hundred bucks in my pockets and a 65 pound pack. Pre-season 'camping' in the Tetons meant laying out your vapor barrier in the snow and trusting your 0˚ -rated sleeping bag to work.

Which restaurant was in DSCF6764 L1, tall windows and mountains backdrop ?

Within a few years I'll be roaming in a bit more style And that's be a stop.

Along with tracing part of RedwoodDweller's motorcycle ride from Santa Cruz to Banff and back (yup, my passport card arrived a few days ago )

The Grand Teton/Yellowstone area is absolutely one of my favorite places on Earth. Between the scenery and the wildlife, there's really nothing like it.

We just got back from Acadia. It's beautiful and also unique. I believe it's the only place on the eastern seaboard of North America with mountains located that close to the ocean.

If you want to hike, just be aware that a lot of the trails are very challenging. Straight up and very rocky. The views are worth it, though.

I'm sorry to hear that, but definitely better safe than sorry these days. I think it's the right choice for you and the family; stay safe!

Gun Barrel was outstanding. Had to go with the bison ribs - killer!

That's definitely The Granary. Its next to the Amangani hotel there. Amazing views to be remembered.

Thanks for taking us with you! I *did* go every year to ski, hopefully again soon. It's been a while since staying in the summer, your photos are motivation.

Yes - the beautiful Granary. Breathtaking views up there and knockout breakfast.

Sorry I missed the original question!

Oh man, those pics take me back. I grew up going to Jackson Drug. There was a movie theatre next door. Last movie I saw there was Ocean’s 11 in 2001 and by that point Jackson Drug had closed. I can’t believe that was almost 20 yrs ago.

I have good memories of that valley and the town.

If you like the Tetons you should visit Banff and Jasper in the Canadian Rockies
