Bit unsure what else i'm supposed to do this morning other than to try every avenue I can to try to incept anyone trying to sell the watch on??

Sorry for you loss. Best to listen to the dog.

Paul Thorpe covers these things in his YouTube. Rolex has failed us by not making public the official lost and stolen registry, which is a shame.

America has it's share ( and more than ) of violence and crime....but damn I wish you had some means of self defense. Burglars fear nothing now. It's insane.

Ok, sorry didn't mean to derail your post. This is just a shame.

I suspect the vehicle will be found first. And in the next day or two.

Is there any sort of database to report my Hulk reference number to Rolex and any other websites in case it finds its way onto the market?

Best news is that you are safe and unharmed. Watches can be replaced. I would recommend a small or large gun safe in your home for your valuables. I keep all my watches in a 700 lb safe bolted to the floor on the second level of my home. Great piece of mind to know watches and valuables are safe from intruders. In the USA, American Security brand and Cannon make great safes. Hope you get your property back...

The problem with that approach is a casual thief will be deterred, but a serious one will harm your loved ones/dog until you open it. It happens too often in the UK unfortunately. You can have a decoy safe perhaps, or other measures to prevent a total loss, but if you have a serious collection, and someone serious knows about it, they will get it.

Edit to add, glad you are safe OP.

Just seen this. Very sorry, but glad no one including the dog was hurt. Post the full serial and model number preceded by the words “stolen .....”. Google works in mysterious ways.

But then the burglars would use that same form as offence. The fact is, no one was hurt and there didn't seem to be any threat of such, the loss is just material.

To the OP, Rolex do have a database still, they just don't share it with the public. You used to be able to phone up and check if a watch is registered but you can't anymore.
Now it will only get flagged if someone takes it to Rolex for a service.

Once again, thanks to everyone for their kind messages.

It's really hit me hard this. Struggling to sleep at night as I keep getting flashbacks and can't get out of my head the different senarios of what i could/should have done differently.

I have registered the watch with The Watch Register and have been in touch with Rolex who have now added it to their stolen database.

I can only live in hope now ....

The car and watch are objects, they can be replaced, you cannot, you were lucky you did not walk in on the burglar, some have weapons, could have been a much worse scenario.

Its tough buddy and the truth is they will probably sell the watch for a grand to the nearest buyer. I would contact the main UK grey dealers just in case but don't hold out hope. The important thing, and you will recognise this come time, is that you are all safe and well. A watch is exactly that, a watch.

I know the feeling well - it takes a while to feel safe again.

Upgrading all alarm sensor points doesn’t do it. Neither getting a massive safe. Nor the multiple devices in discrete grab spots to defend against an intruder.

It’ll be a while - if they capture him things settle down quicker on the emotional scale.

So sorry for your loss. Thieves complete and utter disregard for items that you treasure and have worked so hard for is disgusting. I really hope that they find your car and this leads to the return of your watch!
