Grand Seiko vs Rolex?

What do you think of Grand Seiko? Would you consider it as an alternative to Rolex? With the availability issues of Rolex I found a Grand Seiko that I fell in love with in lieu of the Oyster Perpetual I was looking to get.

Just picked up my first Grand Seiko and love it, but curious if any of the forum members considered GS in lieu of Rolex?

Perhaps not a natural alternative but definitely on-par quality and pedigree wise.

I personally love them for doing things their own way.
