Oh I wish they had that one, that is a beautiful configuration. Mine is the white gold, but it's probably a better look for me.

He basically paid about $56k total for about $88k worth of watches. Yeah, you really made your point here.

I think you missed the point, I bought watches that I liked and wanted. I have been a long term collector and the Rolex only make up a portion of my collection. Here are my mid level luxury watches. None of the Omegas were purchased from an AD that sold me a Daytona.

You don't collect Omega watches with the intention of making money on watches. That is the same mindset I have taken with my entire collection. I have always purchased watches that I like and wear.

That would make an original collection, Cellini are under rated. You can usually pick them up at a discount and at the discounted price they are a bargain.

Thanks Lee. I have enjoyed reading as your collection ebbs and flows and knowing your collection I appreciate the comment.

It appears to me that the honest ADs really want to put allocated pieces in the hands of people that will keep them. Good luck!

yes, If the AD knows you are a true watch lover and will be loyal to them forever, I think they enjoy finding grail pieces for you. I got my white dial Daytona the same way. No history, just a good conversation and a photo of my modest watch collection.

I’m going to get a lot of hate for this post I know. But it’s just being honest.

I wouldn’t buy the Daytona if it was offered to me by my AD. First of all I don’t like the look and the design of it. Second, it’s hyped way too much. I believe that most Daytona owners and chasers are innit for the hype.

I don’t understand the whole Daytona hype thing.

So let it come...burry me

hey you have your opinion and others have theirs. Not everyone is going like the same watches, which is a good thing. For example, i dislike the CHNR/TT and you couldn't pay me to wear it, but that's just me. however could be convinced if it was on jubilee though ;)

Daytona was always a hard to get watch way back in the 90s with the Zenith Daytona.

Demand > supply was always there, but now amped up to another level
