Is your vehicle and your Rolex a balance

I think so ... I wear SS sports models and drive a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.

I've loved Morgans ever since I saw my first back in the late '60s. A neighbor had one and would wrench on it in their driveway. I know they used to still have wooden frames!!! It's the belted bonnet that's a giveaway.

Nice! And just curious, was that the end of the trail that day or did you push through that pile of snow (I think I would have shoveled with that drop-off!)?

Great question! I believe I’d shoveled a bunch of piles before that drift and that was the end of the trail that day!

Good call! Here’s yet another pic, backing out of where my trail ended a few weeks ago up by Taos…went as far as anyone else this year but didn’t feel a need to really push my luck going for fresh tracks through deepening snow.

Have fun out there!

Very true..

I do miss it, but I didn't drive it much - very wide for narrow English roads, also left hand drive which was tricky. I did race it a couple of times - a beautiful thing and superbly engineered. A showcase for Ford really - it showed what they could do when they really tried.

No. I have 2 quite top-end cars whereas my Rolex is a plain 1990s model.

Interesting thread. I've seen this pop up for a long time and assumed it was a big show-off thread, but I've just perused it and it's pretty interesting. My bad!

Will post a pic in the next day or so...

I got some advice once I think is good , your watch shouldn’t cost more than your car and your car shouldn’t cost more than your house.

Hmmmm - I’m failing the first test but very solid on the second one! Hahahahaha.

Problem is my watches are going up in value and the car is going down (fast) - plus I keep buying more watches. Oh well.

Bad advice on the first part. Unnecessary on the second.

Who owns a car worth more than their home?!

I no longer have a Rolex but I want to contribute to this interesting thread. My car and my watches are not a match. On most days, I wear an AP Royal Oak (15500) or a Lange 1. I drive a plain VW Jetta.

I think you still pass; the test was about "spend" not "value"

Well, if you replace "owns" with "drives" and "worth" with "costs" then just drive through LA, and look at all the apartment buildings with open parking. You'll see crap buildings with window box AC and no laundry with 5-Series parked there.
