He then left to get the watch for me to look at.. it took him ages When he got back he said unfortunately the shipment Did not have the Old Polar explorer..

He had received the new one..... how lucky was I.
And as I was the first to ask for one it was mine if I wanted it

Looked at it ..its superb .. put deposit down and picked it up half hour ago

Well happy went to AD asked for watch and able to buy the new release in 10 minutes ....what shortage
Love this watch fits my 8 1/4 wrist perfectly
I did not realise how wonderful the case is not too high and great proportions.. anyway here are some pics

Nice to read a positive story for a change with UK AD's.

Really great looking piece, congrats and thanks for the pictures

Congrats, fantastic luck. Purchased mine in February this year and love it to bits. It’s so different to the normal Rolex look. Enjoy 👍🏻

Such a great looking watch. Is there anything better than a brushed Rolex oyster bracelet?
Congratulations!!

That looks great on your wrist!

It also looks like they have slightly changed the color temperature of the Chromalight as well?

Amazing. The lume looks great. I'm waiting for an AK at the moment but I also love this. As the Exp II is pretty much unobtainable for me I'm looking at the Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT white dial as an alternative but in addition to the AK but I'm not sure how happy I'd be with +/- 20 seconds per day accuracy.

Thank you all for your kind remarks

Totally agree widening the bracelet and slimming the lugs gives it a more balanced look ..they have done a good job

Still can't stop looking at it from the brushed bracelet to the polished sides everything comes together so well with the watch.

Great look. Just curious- first new Rolex? Your name suggests you have (or aspire to) other references.
